YouTube can be a powerful tool to generate viewers into website visitors if you know how to easily link them to your site. In this video I’m going to quickly walk you through associating a website with your YouTube channel and creating an annotation to take viewers to it.

    1. Log into your YouTube channel
    2. Click on your profile picture

<li

  1. Click on Channel on the left sidebar
  2. Click Advanced
  3. Scroll down to where you can see the option to add an Associated Website. Enter your website address and click Add.

You will have to verify your ownership of the website. There are five ways to do this. The easiest way is to upload an HTML file to the root of your domain, which I will cover in detail in another video.

Once the HTML file is uploaded to your domain, you can hit Refresh, in your channel settings, and your website will be connected.

Now, when you are applying annotations to any video, you will have the option to link them to your Associated Website, driving traffic to any page there that you want viewers to see.
