David Christensen of Christensen Law has a number of initiatives he and his team have seized to do just that, and on the most recent installment of Leading Through Adversity, he shares all the details with Crisp Founder & CEO Michael Mogill.

00:21 – Implement new initiatives. “We’ve implemented a number of projects and changes in this time to engage our staff and improve our work processes. We’ve done a lot of Facebook marketing and provided lunches for medical folks at the hospital. These are two new areas that we’re pushing in.”
2:09 – Creating innovative projects. “I have been assigning projects to people, and they’ve embraced it. We’re getting a lot of work that never would have gotten done. We’re expanding and changing our processes in different ways. We’re developing key performance indicators for every job in the office, which is an enormous task —, but we’re undertaking it so that we can objectively measure people’s performance.”
4:22 – Communication is key. “We are a small firm. We have five attorneys, but we have a meeting every afternoon all on Zoom. We’re communicating significantly more than we did in person. I’m going to find ways to hang on to that when we return back to the office.”
5:51 – Taking advantage of Facebook. “A project that I have pushed out to the company is to produce a certain number of Facebook posts for our Facebook page. I did a video at my desk dealing with some changes in our car insurance law in Michigan. We plan on doing a live Q&A through Facebook about changes in that law. These are a few of the things that we’re doing, and we’re going to continue expanding that effort into social media.”
8:44 – Live one day at a time. “I don’t know what’s going to happen, and that can be a source of anxiety. I try to live one day at a time. Projects are unfolding — for which the planning takes me into the future — but I just deal with today. I have a lot of faith that we’re going to be okay.”
9:31 – Vision for the firm. “The vision for the firm led us to the investment with Crisp, new SEO, and marketing. We’re a small firm, and we intend to stay that way. We intend to grow the quality of the cases that we’re taking in, rather than stark numbers. The goal is not to be gigantic, but to make the revenue be gigantic. That’s the vision I have for the firm.”
